Head of Major Gifts

I am working on behalf of an inspiring Arts organisation specialising in performing arts, who is hoping to appoint a Head of Major Gifts on a full time basis. Joining a small but ambitious development team you will be responsible for leading and developing the Major Donor programme.

There can be flexibility around days/hours worked and the client can offer flexible/home working.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop a robust Major Donor Programme whilst maintaining relationships with current supporters.

Convert event attendees and other contacts in to donors.

Provide detailed reports to the Executive Director and trustees when required.

Develop a legacy programme

Create sponsorship opportunities in line with the organisations activities
Essential criteria:

Demonstrable success in income generation from Major Donors, HNWIs and high-profile individuals

Proven ability to raise gifts of 4/5 figures and above through face to face relationships

A passion for performing arts.

A strong understanding of fundraising regulations.

Experience of developing a fundraising strategy

Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with experience of managing donor/client relations

Strong negotiation and influencing skills
