Grants Caseworker

A charity are looking for a Grants Caseworker to contribute towards the efficient delivery of the charity's Casework Programme, ensuring that the department provides timely and effective support to people and their families in need of a grant from the charity.

Key Responsibilities:
-To process enquiries and applications for assistance
-To signpost enquirers to other relevant sources of support
-To compile accurate and concise reports for the Grants & Awards Committee
-To provide support to the Grants & Awards Committee, including the timely and accurate preparation of agendas, minutes, reports and any other work required by the Trustees
-To administer financial awards and support in line with departmental procedures, Grants & Awards Committee decisions
-To liaise with volunteers and other organisations
-To ensure accurate and up-to-date records are maintained at all times
-To help maintain effective operation of the Casework Department, including cover for colleagues when necessary

Skills and Experience required:
-Excellent team-player who is flexible in a small team environment
-High standard of written English with excellent attention to detail and strong proofreading skills with the ability to write letters, emails and reports accurately
-Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
-Excellent organisational skills and good experience of dealing with a significant volume of administrative work
Experince of databases, Microsoft Office packages and record keeping
-Ability to manage and prioritise your own workload with the ability to work to deadlines
-Empathetic, resilient and emotionally mature
-A good and sympathetic listener, able to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
-Knowledge of grant making ideally
