PR and Communications Officer

To drive awareness of lymphoma, increase take up of our services and help us make sure that no one has to face their lymphoma alone.

  • Based at our head office in Aylesbury
  • A full time, permanent contract (35 hours per week)
  • Salary £25,000 to £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)

We are searching for an enthusiastic, creative and dynamic PR and Communications Officer to join our friendly team. Reporting directly to the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager, this varied role requires proven written skills and strong attention to detail, with fantastic media relations and stakeholder management skills.

You’ll be able to deal with people from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences to build trusted relationships. You will play a key role in developing and delivering creative campaigns and communications to reach a wide range of audiences, including increasing public awareness. You will have responsibility for securing media opportunities across broadcast, national and regional press.

The successful candidate will be an exceptional storyteller and will relish working in a creative and impactful environment. You will be confident with using a range of channels to reach diverse audiences and achieve organisational goals, and be an empathetic individual with strong interpersonal skills who is able to communicate with compassion.

Lymphoma Action is the UK’s only charity dedicated to lymphoma, the UK’s fifth most common cancer. We’ve been providing in-depth, expert information and wide-ranging support for over 30 years, helping thousands of people affected by lymphoma. Our work drives improvements in the diagnosis, treatment, and aftercare of lymphoma.
