The Organisation

Prospectus is delighted to be working with Inspire! to recruit for a new CEO to work out of their premises in East London. Inspire! is an education business partnership that links businesses and their employees with schools and colleges to inspire, support and open doors for young people from Hackney, Camden and neighbouring boroughs.

By bringing a diverse range of employee volunteers into the learning environment, they provide young people with employability skills, prepare them for the world of work and give them access to choices and opportunities that may otherwise have remained out of reach

Inspire! works in partnership with local and City businesses and their employee volunteers to achieve this goal. They also run programmes to re-engage young people struggling to access mainstream education, both within local schools and through their own Inspired Directions School

The Role

Having moved to a new site in 2017, Inspire! are now looking to recruit for a new CEO to lead the next phase of their development as they look to grow their programmes and reach new audiences. The CEO will lead development and delivery of the charity’s strategy and ensure their ongoing financial sustainability whilst assisting the Board of Trustees in providing excellent governance. Promoting the charity and growing their reputation for innovation, the CEO will also lead and support the leadership team to ensure high standards are maintained. The successful candidate will also uphold and promote the values of Inspire! as well as the Inspired Directions School, whilst establishing a working environment that encourages creativity and initiative

The Person

Experience and skills to include:

-Previous experience working at a strategic level within education, corporate social responsibility, youth or regeneration

-Proven experience of leading and inspiring staff and volunteers and senior management teams

-Exposure to fundraising and track record of generating ongoing income through promotion of new business opportunities

-Demonstrable experience of financial and budget management

-Experience of working within or in partnership with the voluntary or education sector

-Knowledge of current legislation on safeguarding and child protection

-Credibility and gravitas to lead a successful and impactful organisation
