Job Details
Harris Hill are delighted to be working with the fantastic social welfare charity Straight Talking in aim of sourcing their next Programme Manager for their Head office in London.
The charity runs educational programmes in schools across London and the West Midlands about the realities of early parenthood, healthy relationships, child exploitation and sexting. They employ young mothers and fathers to become peer educators in schools in order to address the above issues. You can find further details of their work via the Straight Talking website.
The Programme Manager will work very closely with the CEO and will play a pivotal role in the effective management of a series of programmes and projects within the organisation.
Further responsibilities will include:
- Managing the design and implementation of the Business Plan to ensure that core programmes meet targets
- Managing key stakeholder relationships and the performance of staff
- Ensuring that the organisation and its activities are compliant with all legal, statutory and regulatory responsibilities
- Contributing to the setting of budgets for core programmes and monitoring expenditure and income
- Improving and maintaining relevant work information systems
- Developing and implementing appropriate quality assurance and risk management procedures
- Preparing and presenting appropriate information to the Management Team and Trustees
Candidates for the Programme Manager post will ideally meet the criteria below:
- Educated to degree level or extensive relevant experience in a similar role
- Experience of setting, managing and monitoring budgets
- Extensive experience of managing complex projects and programmes
- Experience of quality control for a previous organisation
- Ability to identify, design, develop and improve administrative management and information systems
- Experience of working within the third sector or with disadvantaged and vulnerable young people is desirable
