Development Manager

Harris Hill is working with an environmental charity based in Surrey to recruit a Development Manager. The post holder will develop the charity's HNWI strategy, focusing on raising long term income through developing relationships with donors and supporters. Part-time and home working will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
Developing the annual plan for major donor targeting and legacy marketing
Management of existing relationships with major donors and cultivation of new support to raise long term income, including legacies where possible
Organisation of cultivation events to increase awareness of the charity and to invite new prospects
Supervision and creation of compelling marketing material to promote regular support and large gifts, working collaboratively with teams involved
Ensuring all administrative systems are kept up to date and accurate, allowing for efficient reporting and tracking

Skills and experience required:
Strong sales experience, with an ability to manage and create their own opportunities
Demonstrable experience of building relationships with HNWI and of reaching income targets via large monetary gifts
Strong interpersonal, negotiation and persuasion skills
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal with presentation experience
Flexible attitude with expectation of regular travel (UK)
