Are you looking to take the next step in your fundraising career? If so, our client has just the opportunity for you! They are looking for a Special Events Officer to join their established Fundraising Team at a time of growth for the charity.
Job Title: Special Events Officer

Hours: Full time37 hours, part-time considered for the right candidate
Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 per annum dependent on experience + benefits
Contract: Permanent
Location: Pill, outskirts of Bristol
Benefits: 25 days holiday per year + bank holidays + additional days over Christmas and New Year period. Free parking in a beautiful semi-rural setting
The successful candidate will join the Head of Major Gifts and Special Events and with ambitious plans for growth, it is extremely important that they relish meeting and exceeding fundraising targets, working with drive, enthusiasm and possess a go-getter attitude.
Principle accountabilities:
- Successfully deliver an agreed programme of special events
- Identify new opportunities to increase income from events
- Manage RSVP’s, guest lists and table plans
- Source luxury gifts and seek prize donations for high profile events.
Person specification:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A very good eye for detail
- Experience and/or an understanding of fundraising, events management and donor stewardship
- Able to demonstrate and apply the principles of excellent supporter care and communication
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple, and sometimes conflicting priorities effectively
