Non - Executive Director and Committee Opportunities / Housing
Redhill, Surrey
£4,000 - £4,500 per annum plus expenses

Our client is a Housing Association with 6,500 homes working across East Surrey and Sussex. They build homes for those that can’t meet their housing needs in the market and in doing so they help them change their lives.

They are currently recruiting for a Non-Executive Director to provide constructive challenge to the Chief Executive and executive management team in relation to strategies, policies, performance and board recommendations to ensure high standards of corporate governance.

You will also work with fellow Board Members to agree the Trust’s Mission Statement, Values and Strategic Plan and to undertake regular reviews of the strategic planning of the Trust. You will typically attend eight evening meetings a year and a further two away days. The association also supports Board members in further training and development.

Our client are also seeking a Non-Executive Co-optee to their Audit Committee. With oversight of their control and assurance framework, their audit committee is a pivotal part of our governance structure. Candidates need not be from an accountancy or financial background but must be competent in interpreting financial reports, have a broad knowledge of business regulation and ideally be familiar with the social housing regulated sector.

For both roles, they are looking for an individual who has strong strategic planning skills and has the ability to develop strategic vision. You will have previous experience of operating at a senior level (either executive or non-executive) within a customer focused service organisation and have good knowledge of the not-for-profit housing environment including regulation.

Closing date: Monday 23rd July 2018.
Interviews will be held on Monday 6th August 2018.
