Reporting to the Director of Finance and Business Services, the HR Adviser will work with the Directors to deliver the people aspects of the strategic plan and provide hands-on advice and guidance to managers on a wide range of HR matters.

In an exciting and wide-ranging role, you will take the HR lead advising managers on employment relations cases, ensuring recruitment processes are effective, fair and compliant as well as keeping employment policies up-to-date. You will also work with the leadership team to develop, implement and manage the staff development strategy. With over 100 staff working in a very wide variety of roles and with residential facilities operating 7 days a week, the HR Adviser will supervise the work of an HR administrator. 

You will need to have attained your CIPD level 5 and have current experience of advising senior managers on a range of employee relations and staff development matters. As the HR lead, you will need to be confident, able to deal with difficult situations and complex issues sympathetically, confidentially, and objectively.
