This is a permanent, full time role where you will be supporting Seafarer Education administration and at specific times of the year assisting with exams administration.
The Marine Society and Sea Cadets (MSSC) is the nation’s largest maritime charity. As well as acting as the governing charity of the Sea Cadet Corps (SCC), we offer educational opportunities and financial support for professional seafarers, helping to overcome the challenges faced by seafarers on account of their lifestyle.
We are currently seeking to appoint a full time Seafarer Education and Exams Co-ordinator to assist with the effective delivery of our learning provision for seafarers.
The role demands a proactive and effective administrator with sound experience of office administration, systems and database management. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate easily and effectively with a wide range of people and will be self-motivated and prepared to have a hands-on flexible approach.
Experience in education and exams administration is essential. A sound understanding of clerical procedures and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and contact data bases are essential. Strong attention to detail is expected with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines. Experience of using survey software would be useful but not essential.
