ActionAid is recruiting for a Media Assistant to identify and support opportunities to engage media targets, who are able to help champion the rights of women and girls living in poverty.

ActionAid are currently recruiting to a key role within our Public Engagement team.

If you are passionate about developing your skills within the media space, this may be the role for you.

The role of Media Assistant is primarily to contribute to the positive management of ActionAid UK’s reputation by supporting public relations, celebrity and social media activities.

The Media Assistant will be responsible for identifying and supporting opportunities to engage media targets, who are able to help champion the rights of women and girls living in poverty.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate an ability to use their initiative and to act as the first point of contact for suppliers, supporters and contacts.

You must have strong relationship building skills as you will also be required to engage and motivate a wide range of stakeholders.

It is essential that you can work collaboratively and that you are able to manage several administrative tasks at one time.

If you have strong written and spoken communication skills and the desire to develop a media career, this may be the role for you.

Please note that the post holder will be required to travel and to work out of hours on some occasions.  

This role is being offered as a 6 month fixed term contract.
