Come Together with us and join the Keep Wales Tidy Board of Trustees
Keep Wales Tidy reaches into the heart of communities throughout Wales. We are a registered charity with a team of 57 committed and passionate people and we deliver programmes which are specifically tailored to support the people of Wales and improve the quality and sustainability of the environment in which we live and work.
We operate a number of national and international programmes in Wales including Tidy Towns, Eco-Schools, Blue Flag Coastal Awards, Green Flag for Parks and Green Key for the hospitality and tourism sector.
We currently have a vacancy on our dynamic Board for a treasurer/finance expert. It is a role that will give you the opportunity for real personal development.
The Treasurer will oversee the financial matters of the charity in line with good practice and in accordance with the governing document and legal requirements, and report to the Board of Trustees at regular intervals about the financial health of the organisation. The Treasurer will ensure that effective financial measures, controls and procedures are put in place, and are appropriate for the charity.
We are looking for passionate people, innovative individuals with enthusiasm for our values and the financial skills and acumen to help us deliver our objectives and services as effectively as possible and to take the charity on our continuing bold journey.
This is a voluntary, unpaid appointment, although reasonable travel expenses will be paid.
You will be prepared to attend at least four Board meetings a year and the Audit Committee that meets each quarter.
Further details about this role and our Charity can be found on our website www.keepwalestidy.cymru.
