Project Manager 

Position: Head of 'Is It OK' Project 
Location: London 
Job Type: Part Time, Fixed Term Contract until September 2019 
Hours: 21 to 25 hours per week 
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 pro rata 

Closing date: 9am on 6th July 2018 
First Interviews: 11th July 2018 
Second Interviews:16th-19th July 2018 tbc 

About the role: 

This is an exciting new role leading Is It OK? an innovative project to create a safe and accessible way for young people at risk of harm and exploitation to get help via the digital platforms they use every day. Developed by Dame Esther Rantzen and the Children’s Commissioner for England in response to high profile reports of abuse and gaps in support, Is It OK? is being piloted by our client, in partnership with NSPCC Childline and others, and is funded by BBC Children in Need. 
The Head of Is It OK will be based with our client and will oversee the different project workstreams to ensure the project’s objectives are achieved on time and in budget, with the support of a Project Coordinator. The Head of Is It OK will also lead work with partners to promote the project and develop and deliver a project sustainability plan. 

About you: 

- Experience of successfully managing projects involving multiple partners 
- Experience of managing project budgets 
- Experience of reporting to and working with funders 
- Media / spokesperson experience 
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral 
- Understanding of young people’s access to and use of digital support 
- Ability to be seen by young people as a credible ambassador 
- Knowledge of effective project management tools and techniques
