Job Details

The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) is the professional membership body in the UK for physiotherapists. They lead, promote and represent the profession by driving excellence in physiotherapy practice and employment, and in influencing healthcare policy across the whole UK. With 56,000 Chartered physiotherapists working across a wide range of industries including higher education and research, their members are facing unprecedented change: The CSP is at the forefront of this change, leading the move from "Good to Great".

Following a governance review and a new streamlined Council of 12 Members, the CSP are now looking for members to form the new Finance, Risk and Audit Committee (FRAC). You will support and advise Council on financial, organisational risk and audit issues affecting the CSP and provide strategic advice to Council and the CSP. You will have oversight of corporate risks and risk register (including PLI), budget planning and management account reporting, reviewing statutory accounts, recommend to Council changes to members subscriptions among other responsibilities.

You will be operating at a strategic senior level with overseeing finance, budgets and managing risks within a similar sized organisation. You will be a strategic thinker, with strong leadership skills and a commitment to the CSP as a trade union and professional body. Experience of committee working would be beneficial. If you want to find out more about how you can help shape the direction of the CSP, please request an information pack through our retained Consultants Brigitte Stundner or Rob Hayter at TPP Recruitment: executive@tpp.co.uk or call 020 7198 6060. The closing date for applications is Tuesday 9am 17th July. Please note that the first committee meeting is on Wednesday 1st August.
