Position: Grants Manager 
Location: Central London, WC1N 
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 37.5 hours per week 
Salary: £Competitive

About the role: 

 This is an exciting, newly created role within the Grants Team who are responsible for: 1) ensuring the charity has robust funding mechanisms to determine best use of charitable funding, 2) providing support to fundraising teams with information on each of our funding areas and 3) monitoring and evaluating projects and programmes of work funded by the charity.

The successful candidate will manage the entire life cycle of a large diverse and varied portfolio of grants from the pre-award stage all the way through to post-award, as well as supporting applications through the various stages of quality assessment. The post-holder will also be responsible for on-going monitoring of awards and evaluation of grants and their funding streams to ensure projects are being delivered to the high standard the charity sets out for its funding. The portfolio of grants includes rebuilding and refurbishment; research; innovation in clinical care, patient & family experience; staff support and health technologies. 

About you: 

- The ideal candidate will have strong research or grants management experience behind them combined with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills 
- Have an advanced research degree (PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline 
- Be experienced in supporting high level decision-making committees 
- Possess excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
