Our client are currently recruiting for an Outreach Worker to deliver a comprehensive support package to people presenting mental ill health to enable them to establish and sustain a tenancy.

You will offer professional advice and promote a sense of hope, dignity, and empowerment working with individuals, regardless of background, to provide an effective support service in order to enhance their quality of life, particularly those with complex issues including social isolation and alienation, trauma, lack of self-confidence and low self-esteem.

Managing your own workload of complex tenancy sustainment cases, you will work closely with relevant teams, giving advice and support. This also includes; providing practical and emotional support to customers, managing a caseload of customers to enable them to build the skills and resilience to manage their tenancy, undertake needs assessments and support customers to maximise their income to access benefits and to budget appropriately.

Our ideal candidate will have GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent. You will have previous experience of multi-agency working including statutory and voluntary agencies, managing complex support plans and have worked with young people including housing advice, advocacy work or residential. You must have a full and current driving licence and daily use of a car for business purposes. You will demonstrate a willingness to work flexible hours as requested and to work additional hours to meet the needs of the service.

Enhanced disclosure and barring service (DBS) check is required.
