Job Details

Our client is a London based heritage organisation who are seeking to hire a Social Media Manager who will be responsible for creating upbeat and witty social media content.

You will be responsible for joining this organisation at a very exciting time as they go through a major re-brand and expansion.

You will be responsible for creating upbeat and witty content, along with delivering significant growth across priority social media channels in line with the Museum's five year business plan, as well as increasing engagement through creation of content that is compelling and on brand.

You will work closely with the CRM & Digital Marketing Manager to ensure analytics are used for effective planning.

Your duties and responsibilities will include

  • Create strategy to achieve and sustain growth targets for Twitter, Facebook & Instagram.
  • Develop a tone of voice for the Museum's social media content reflective with the brand.
  • Act as social media champion across the Museum and increase social media literacy across the organisation.
  • Develop monthly content calendars based on organisation priorities and the external environment.
  • Commission or create genuinely compelling content particularly video and imagery which supports marketing and PR campaigns.
  • Ensure social media and web content is always targeted to priority audience segments reflective of the brand.

  • Work with the CRM & Digital marketing Manager to plan campaigns which use a mix of organic and paid content.
  • Your experience


  • Experience of creating social media content to successfully achieve organisational goals.
  • Direct experience of managing paid social media campaigns or experience of collaborating with specialists to effectively incorporate paid elements into social media plans.
  • Sufficient data literacy to understand social media analytics and translate these into actionable recommendations.
