Service Manager (Supported Housing) - FTC

Our client is an organisation that provides a range of housing and varied support services to vulnerable people. Their aim is to support people in achieving their full potential. They are currently going through a large period of growth and currently have a vacancy for a Service Manager.
Position: Service Manager - Fixed term until March 2019
Location: Home worker with local travel
Hours: 20 hours plus on call
Salary: £14,465 per annum
Benefits: 26 days’ annual holiday (pro rata) rising a day a year for the first 5 years + bank holidays, Life Assurance, Pension scheme and an Employee Health Assistance Programme. Professional development opportunities and flexible working arrangements.

About the Role:
Their Buckingham Service support families experiencing homelessness with support needs. The Service Manager will effectively manage all the operations that come under the umbrella of the Buckingham Service. This includes housing management and support.
Together with the Operations Manager to develop the whole service so that it is financially viable, identified by partners as strategically relevant and regarded locally as a service of innovation and excellence. You will ensure that all aspects of the service operate within policies, procedures and ethos.
About You:
You must have at least 2 years’ experience of managing a supported housing service (or something similar), with knowledge of the issues facing vulnerable families. You should be a self-starter with experience of successful service user involvement.
You should be proficient in MS Word and Excel and should be organised and able to prioritise your workload. You should be passionate and enthusiastic with a ‘can do’ attitude.
A Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Certificate will be required for these roles.
