Grants & Administrative Assistant

Job Details

The Actors’ Benevolent Fund seeks to support actors, actresses and stage managers experiencing hardship due to illness, injury or old age. Over the years the organisation has helped and supported many thousands with grants, allowances and help towards domestic living.

The Grants & Administrative Assistant undertakes crucial functions in the day-to-day running of the organisation and is part of a small team responsible for managing this important charity.

You will assist the CEO with all tasks related to grant-making activity and be responsible for the smooth running of the office. As you will be the first point of contact within the organisation, you will gain exposure to dealing directly with their beneficiaries, seeing first-hand how your work directly has an impact on helping the organisation's service users.

The successful candidate will develop a wide range of transferable skills in this position and will be well placed to progress quickly within the sector. If you have excellent customer service skills alongside the drive and enthusiasm to be instrumental within a small team please apply today.

An interest in the Arts would be an advantage but not essential.

From the current postholder:

It’s a great role to gain experience in grant-making, fundraising, marketing, stakeholder management, front-line support, communications and develop skills in whichever area you’d like to focus on. You’ll work in a small team, so will work at the heart of the charity and have a large level of support.”

Closing date: 2nd July at 10am
Interviews: Tuesday 10th July
