Prospectus are seeking an aspiring professional with experience working within press and media, to promote and manage the profile of an incredibly progressive and growing national healthcare charity.

Operating within the News & Media team, the Senior Media Officer will succeed with raising the charity's profile through the ownership of a media plan and the management of various projects, while proactively developing and delivering media activities. This person will build and nurture productive relationships with relevant media contacts such as journalists and bloggers, while also taking responsibility of developing Q&As for interviews and briefing spokespeople. There will also be opportunities to represent the charity to external stakeholders and organisations while also undertaking appropriate crisis communications and reputational management processes where appropriate.

The Senior Media Officer will have experience of working within a communications, media and/or PR team and will be proficient at demonstrating a good, sound news sense as well as an excellent knowledge of the media landscape. It is essential you can formulate and deliver communications projects from conception through to completion while also working in partnership with others across the Marketing & Communications team and at times, operating independently. The ability to produce excellent and accurate written copy to tight deadlines is absolutely crucial.
