Want to use your accountancy skills to play a vital role in making clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone everywhere?

Join WaterAid as International Management Accountant to work in one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ acknowledged by 2018’s Great Place to Work®.

You will support country programmes to grow and manage their financial resources; building the financial management capacity of country programme Finance staff.  As such you'll have the opportunity to travel for up to 8 weeks (cumulative) a year. You'll also provide regional analysis and insight to a range of stakeholders.

There are two posts available, one will focus on our West Africa region and one will focus on Southern Africa region.

To be successful, you’ll need to have

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) with significant post qualification experience, and a background in Business, Finance, Project accounting, Economics, or Project coordination/management

 

  • Experience of financial modelling, cost analysis, financial planning & budgeting, forecasting and reporting

 

  • Knowledge / experience of developing competitive commercial bids and pricing for restricted funding including institutional, private and corporate donation

 

  • Ability to lead cross-functional project teams and build effective working relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues.

 

  • Written and spoken French or a commitment to work towards intermediate proficiency (CEFR level B2 or higher), and advanced Excel and accounting systems skills.
