Harris Hill are delighted to be working with Royal Voluntary Service to recruit a Corporate Development Manager to join their successful corporate fundraising team. This new position will play an important role in developing future corporate partnerships to increase corporate fundraising income and create strategic alliances with mutual benefit. Funding raised contributes to maintaining vital services to hospitals and communities throughout the UK, with a particular focus on our ageing population.

A relatively new fundraising stream for the charity, corporate fundraising has achieved considerable growth year on year over the past 5 years with long term strategic partnerships established with a number of major organisations including Prudential, Legal & General, McCarthy & Stone, Simplyhealth and M&S. With ambitious targets set for the next 3 years we are ready to invest in this stream to grow income, maximise opportunities and build on our success.

Please note: this is a home-based role which will require regular travel to London and throughout the UK. As such, the salary on offer for this role, 34,000- 36,000 per annum is equivalent to a London commuter salary of approximately 39- 41k for a central London-based role. Furthermore, all travel costs/time and subsistence expenses are paid.


Key responsibilities will include:
Securing a range of long-term varied partnerships, including strategic, COTY and sponsorship opportunities
Research and develop a new business pipeline through a targeted, sector specific approach
Identifying and cultivating relationships with a variety of senior stakeholders in target partner organisations
Working with the Corporate fundraising team and wider organisation to deliver against corporate fundraising plans and objectives
Working with service delivery colleagues to ensure funding gap or strategic opportunities are addressed to ensure continued future development
The successful candidate will:
Be an experienced corporate fundraiser with evidence of winning 5- and 6-figure partnerships
Have an understanding of and experience winning varied partnerships
Be able to develop a sector-led pipeline and deliver new partnerships to grow the partnership portfolio
Be able to develop and deliver creative and engaging fundraising proposals, pitches and presentations
Be an effective communicator and relationship manager, able to work equally effectively with a range of audiences and stakeholders
