The Fundraiser will lead on all revenue fundraising activities outlined in DLWP's Fundraising Strategy. With an emphasis on innovation, key elements of the role include the development and delivery of the new Membership Scheme and the Trust and Foundations Strategy.

Main responsibilities and duties

Achieving DLWP’s revenue fundraising targets.

To lead revenue Trusts & Foundations research, planning and application writing, including the management of key relationships.

Grant administration including payment release, correspondence, reporting.

Development and delivery of DLWP’s new Members and Patrons scheme, including: relationship management, correspondence, administration, delivery of events (including evenings / weekends), monitoring and reporting on progress.

Development and delivery of the communication strategy for Members and Patrons including content creation, copywriting and development of our marketing materials.

Development of DLWP’s fundraising resources.

The Fundraiser will support the Head of Fundraising with:

Delivery of DLWP’s capital fundraising strategy (on an ad-hoc basis)

Development of corporate giving and sponsorship.

Development of the individual donor journey, including on-site fundraising and digital giving.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Experience of fundraising within a similar organisation including dealing with funding applications and individual donors
  • A good understanding of the fundraising sector
  • Outstanding copywriting and editorial skills
  • Excellent understand of budget development
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, including face to face
  • Ability to effectively manage relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload
  • Good team working skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends

Desired

  • Previous experience of delivering a membership scheme
  • Previous experience within a marketing or sales context
