Our client, an environmental and social regeneration charity, is looking to recruit a Senior Project Officer (SPO) to join their Green Doctor team.

Green Doctors work on a variety of projects delivering home energy and water efficiency visits across London. These visits are a mixture of installing low cost measures, providing advice and guidance, and referring residents on to further services and agencies. They are increasingly working on projects which have a strong health or financial inclusion focus.

Working with the Programme Manager, and other Senior Project Officer, this post will be jointly responsible for the day to day management of the Green Doctor programme as well as forming and maintaining stakeholder and client relationships across multiple partnerships; networking and outreach experience is an advantage. The SPO will be also responsible for the line management of Green Doctors working in the field.

You should be happy leading and working as part of a team as well as working independently to manage your own workload.  You will possess the necessary experience to enable you to oversee the day-to-day management of multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget and to a high quality.

You’ll also have excellent interpersonal skills in order to form and maintain multiagency partnerships with strong written communication skills to allow you to produce reports, evaluations and funding applications.

You ideally will have a good knowledge of fuel poverty and the effects it has on the health and wellbeing of vulnerable people, along with the negative health implications of living in a cold home.

The post-holder also needs to maintain a flexible approach to the role as it develops and the Energy Services programmes change.
