Service Manager (Social Prescribing Service)
Founded in 1984, our client is a pioneering registered charity located in Tower Hamlets. They support families, young people and adults of all ages to learn new skills, improve their health and wellbeing, find employment and develop the confidence to achieve their goals and transform their lives. The Centre provides a range of integrated services and has ambitious plans for the future.
Position: Social Prescribing Manager – Maternity Cover
Location: Tower Hamlets, East London
Job Type: Full Time, Maternity Cover Fixed Term Contract 12 months
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £28,000 to £31,000 per annum
Benefits: 27 days plus 3 days for Christmas plus Bank Holidays; all staff gets an extra day off for their birthday Pension contribution made.
Closing Date: Wednesday 4th July 2018 at 5:00pm

About the role:
They are looking for an experienced and highly motivated professional to lead the organisation’s dynamic Social Prescribing Service. You will lead a high performing team to deliver their fast-growing support service for people living with and beyond cancer. The post holder will join our client at an exciting time of expansion. They will be responsible for line management, operational delivery, evaluation and on-going development of this vital service.
About you:
The ideal candidate will hold a qualification to degree level and will have significant experience of leading and delivering projects. You will also have a proven track record of delivering client focused services and experience of developing and maintaining partnerships with a range of stakeholders. Previous experience of managing evaluation projects is also beneficial.
Additionally, you will have prior experience of staff or volunteer management and development and experience of managing and reporting against financial targets and budgets. A high level of computer literacy including applied knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) is also essential.
You may have experience of the following: Service Manager, Service Coordinator, Social Prescribing Manager, Services Manager, Service Delivery Manager, Project Manager, Programme Manager, Charity, Charities, Third Sector, NFP, Not for Profit, Support Manager etc.
