Job Details
New College, one of the most prestigious of the colleges within the University of Oxford, seeks to appoint a full-time Fundraising and Communications Officer in its Development Office. The post-holder will play a key role in building relationships with the College’s former students in order to secure their financial support for the College and its current students. Developing a broad base of loyal donors is critical to delivering an increasing range of programmes, from access initiatives to student financial support, from funding Junior Research Fellowships to ensuring that the most able students are able to study here thanks to bursaries and scholarships.
The College launched the Founder’s Society in early 2018 to encourage and recognise regular donations. The roll-out of the Society will involve improved communications around the case for support and the impact of regular giving, increased levels of stewardship of donors and a more detailed targeting of approaches to ensure the continuation of existing donors, to re-engage previous donors and to encourage new donors.
Company
New College is one of the University of Oxford's oldest and best-known Colleges. Situated in the heart of the city, our main site is one of the most beautiful in Oxford, boasting the earliest planned College quadrangle and spectacular gardens set against the medieval city wall. While learning and scholarship are our primary focus, the College also has an exceptionally rich sporting, cultural and musical life.
Founded by William of Wykeham in 1379 for the education of priests, the College has grown to become one of Oxford's largest, admitting undergraduate and graduate students for nearly all the subjects on offer in the University. We have a record of consistently strong academic performance, and welcome applications from students of high academic potential, whatever their background.
