Relief Worker

Our client is an organisation that provides a range of housing and varied support services to vulnerable people. Their aim is to support people in achieving their full potential. They are currently going through a large period of growth and have a vacancy for a Relief Support Worker.
Position: Relief Worker (night work in particular)
Location: Middlesbrough
Job Type: Relief Hours
Salary: £8.12 to £9.16 per hour depending on role covering
Closing date: 25 June 2018
About the role:
The Relief Worker will provide cover for other staff in varied roles and carry out the required tasks according to the role, this will include, security checks including CCTV monitoring, .cleaning duties and support to the residents with mental health needs. The role and hours will vary according to the business need and may include night time hours.
At all times you will be expected to work in a manner that safeguards and promotes the welfare of individuals and families that come to your attention and maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors and colleagues. You will also undertake basic maintenance and DIY tasks as requested by the Project Manager.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have experience of working with or supporting young people or vulnerable adults and a working knowledge of the diversity issues in Supported Housing.
You will have a good standard of written and spoken English to write incident reports and case notes. You will be IT literate, comfortable with using MS Office applications. You will also have flexibility with working hours to accommodate working to a rota and have the ability to work outside normal working hours in accordance with the needs of the business.
Ideally you will have previous experience of working within a Supported Housing or Foyer setting and knowledge of supporting people with mental health issues. A full driving licence would also be an advantage but not essential.
You may have experience of the following: Relief Support Worker, Relief Worker, Support Worker, Charity, Charities, Third Sector, Customer Service, Care Worker.
