The Role
- The Royal British Legion is looking for an experienced Volunteer Development Officer to join our central Volunteer Support Unit. You will assist in the development of volunteering to support the Legion’s work on behalf of all those serving in the British Armed Forces, veterans, and their families.
- Working as part of a busy team, you should have proven recent experience of delivering innovative projects that have developed volunteering roles, improved the experience of volunteers, and driven improvements in volunteer management. With demonstrable knowledge of volunteer good practice and experience in providing advice and guidance to managers of volunteers.
- The position calls for strong influencing and communication skills as well as effectiveness in planning and organising, teamwork and relationship building. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to engage with various stakeholders, identify and develop opportunities for volunteering across the Legion. You will also be able to manage workloads with flexibility and display a positive approach to problem solving.
