The religious charity aspire to be a leader within the international development arena. The post holder will join an ambitious, creative and enthusiastic team of communicators and fundraisers. The team is driving the organisation to be better known, better understood and raise a percentage of the organisational target of £6.3m per annum. The six-strong team delivers a wide range of communications and community activities, publicising the organisation's work through the media, social media, professionals, amongst other audiences. We are also jointly responsible for acquiring new supporters to back our vital work.

Description

You'll take responsibility for managing all of your own - and your team's activities to deliver the overall organisational ambition of becoming better known, understood and generating new supporters and more income.

* You will represent us at a variety of forums, from events to places of worship, to roundtables with government. You need to be confident, and persuasive.

* You need to be comfortable networking in a variety of different settings, with a diverse range of stakeholders to bring them along with you

* You need to be self-motivated and ambitious, ready to take ownership of projects and drive them from concept to completion

* You will manage personnel and portfolios within the charities community work.

* You will write outstanding articles, including thought leadership pieces, on the organisation's behalf, that can work across our channels and for the media.

* You will help the organisation to develop outstanding content to engage people within our work

* Understand how to connect with people across the community in a digital way.

* Work with others to ensure that the charity continues to build upon its established presence in the regional, national and international media.

* You must understand the way that the community functions and the charities place within it. You will be responsible for maintaining and building upon our eminent standing.

* Supporting our staff member who manages the charities portfolio to raise money, brand awareness and supporters.

* Support our community team to meet its financial and supporter acquisition targets, developing plans to acquire and retain new supporters.

Profile

- Very strong writing skills and good ability to write multilmedia content

- Someone who can create content for social media across the marketing channels.

-An exceptional understanding of the biblical faith

-Excellent and demonstrable relationship-building skills

- Experience of working towards targets (ideally financial)

-Understanding of the latest trends within both fundraising and communications

-The ability to work within a collaborative and supportive team

-The ability to meet set targets and deadlines
