Location: Sightsavers Ireland, Spencer Row, Dublin 1 with national and international travel required.
Salary: c€55,000 depending upon experience
Sightsavers has an opportunity for a motivated and passionate communications and marketing specialist to lead our Public Engagement Team. The post holder will be responsible for strategically managing and delivering communications, media and PR, events, and marketing, as well as the Irish Aid funded public engagement programme, in support of Sightsavers objectives.
The role is varied and fast-paced, requiring the role holder to manage a diverse portfolio of work streams simultaneously, working collaboratively with fundraising, campaigns and policy, and programme teams, in Ireland and internationally.
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated and driven communications professional, with significant experience managing communications, traditional and digital marketing, and events within a development agency or related sector. They will be able to demonstrate their skills and experience, as well as a strong understanding of international development and the role of strategic communications to support awareness raising and resource mobilisation.
Candidates must have relevant experience, be willing to travel and work outside office hours on occasion. They will have experience working with the media, external suppliers and service-providers and civil society in Ireland or internationally.
