An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Finance and Support Services Manager to join our team to oversee the management of the Sightsavers Finance and Administration at the Bangladesh Country Office.
Reporting to the Country Director you will be responsible for supervising the development, coordination and management of the Finance and Administration functions, working closely with colleagues, partners and third parties in order to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
The successful candidate will be a member of the Country Office Senior Management Team and it is expected that the Finance and Support Services Manager’s role will be accountable for financial management (40%), supervising the Finance Officer, Administration and Support Services (20%), Project and Programme finance Management (30%) and Human Resource Management (10%).
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of project finance management and data analysis skills as well as experience of working productively with key stakeholders,
Excellent communication skills, management experience, the ability to work with minimal supervision and a strategic approach are key to this role and you should also have good knowledge and experience of project cycle management, international accounting standards and local labour laws. This is an involved role, playing a vital part within the Country Office Senior Management Team
Substantial experience of working in an NGO setting and a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance are considered to be essential for this role as is fluency (oral and written) in Bangla and English. Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, SUNsystems and confidence with Outlook are also expected.
