Goldsmiths Centre for Contemporary Art
Competitive Salary - Goldsmiths welcomes proposals for a four-day working week or for working flexible hours

Goldsmiths is seeking an outstanding individual to develop and lead fundraising for artistic and educational programmes at Goldsmiths Centre for Contemporary Art (Goldsmiths CCA). This new gallery in the heart of Goldsmiths in New Cross, London, is due to open in September 2018 following a project to convert the tanks and pump-house of a Victorian swimming pool. It is part of the university’s vision to bring world-class contemporary art and artists on campus, elevating our art education from excellent to outstanding – not only for students on our degree programmes, but for the wider community in Lewisham and beyond.

Goldsmiths is a world-renowned university that has built a reputation for rigorous and innovative academic work; creativity has long been its hallmark. Academic excellence and imaginative course content combine to make a place where creative minds can thrive, and ideas are allowed to grow. Its academics cooperate across disciplines to create exciting new courses and develop novel approaches to research issues.  This interdisciplinary ethos has helped it to become a leader in many subject areas.

The Head of Fundraising, Goldsmiths CCA, is a new role within the university’s Development & Alumni Office. It is an exciting opportunity to develop a fresh fundraising programme for this unique university gallery, which has been enabled thanks to philanthropy.

Goldsmiths seeks a candidate with experience of fundraising within the arts or education, and a demonstrable track record of building successful donor relationships and meeting fundraising targets.  You will be energetic, strategic, entrepreneurial, confident, credible – an amazing fundraiser who feels moved by contemporary art and its power to inspire and educate.
