Head of Philanthropy
Robertson Bell are delighted to be partnering, on an exclusive basis, with our Hertfordshire based charity client to recruit an experienced and highly motivated Head of Philanthropy. This position will be offered on a 12 month FTC basis to cover maternity leave. The role will be 4 days per week (salary is £40,200 FTE) and there is s very strong possibility that this will continue as a 4/2 job share when the maternity leave period ends.
Are you a strategic thinker and planner, creative and innovative with exceptional organisational skills? Do you have at least 4 years' experience managing fundraising income streams, at least one year of which has been the successful direct management of major donor programme? if so then this may be the perfect opportunity for you.
Our client provides essential free care across West Hertfordshire and South Buckinghamshire and inspires people to raise over £5million every single year to fund this care. Rated outstanding by the CQC and already having highly successful fundraising programme with first class employees and volunteers this is a really great opportunity for an experienced professional to manage the major donor and legacy income streams with a combined target of £1.15million in 2018/2019 as Interim Head of Philanthropy.
You will be responsible for;
*Identifying and developing relationships with new mid-level and major donor prospects, as well as providing interim stewardship of existing supporters. Withy support from the Director of Fundraising you will also lead on investigation and implementation of innovative new fundraising models to provide sustainable income.
*With administrative support you will organise and manage a number of events for attracting and/or stewarding major donor and legacy pledgers.
*Leading on the development and implementation of a legacy strategy and with administrative support manage the administration of existing estates and projects.
There are no direct reports into this role currently.
