Our client are currently seeking 2 Handypeople to undertake the day to day maintenance and repairs for the Gloucestershire projects and properties and for the residents in St Oswald’s in a manner that provides excellent service. You will work with the Senior Handyperson to ensure that all required maintenance tasks are logged and completed in a timely and efficient manner, including day to day repairs to windows, doors, lighting, drains, plumbing, changing filters and any other general maintenance duties.
You will clean and regularly maintain bin rooms and refuse and remove any blockages where necessary, arrange for large items of rubbish, including abandoned vehicles, to be removed and ensure lifts on the sites are operative and if failure to ensure safe evacuation and report the lift for repair.
Additionally, you will undertake the schedule of checks and tests on a daily, weekly, monthly, six monthly and annual basis, carry out statutory checks in communal areas and complete and maintain required records.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of building trades to include; plumbing, carpentry, plastering, decorating and basic electrics. You will have good IT and communication skills including data input and the ability to organise and prioritise own workload. You must have a full and current driving licence with the use of own vehicle.
