Our client is currently seeking a Handyperson to undertake the day to day maintenance and repairs for the Old Damson Lane Gypsy and Traveller site in a manner that provides excellent service. You will work with the Senior Handyperson to ensure that all required maintenance tasks are logged and completed in a timely and efficient manner, including day to day repairs to windows, doors, lighting, drains, plumbing, changing filters and any other general maintenance duties.

You will undertake fault finding to enable efficient recourse to specialist contractors, regularly inspect communal areas for faults and either effect the necessary repairs or report requirement for action, maintain report and repair log on site for emergency lighting, CCTV, door entry phones, laundry and other equipment where work is carried out by contractors.

Additionally, you will carry out regular checks of fire safety equipment, emergency lights, fans and other items as requested, to ensure they are in good working order and where necessary rectify or report faults for repair.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in Building trades to include; plastering, plumbing, carpentry, decorating and basic electrics. You will have a good understanding of Health and Safety requirements and the ability to organise and prioritise own workload. You will have good IT and communication skills including data input. You must have a full and current driving licence and use of own vehicle.
