Training Manual Developer (Consultant, Short Term Contract - 7 days)

Location:      Haywards Heath, UK

Salary:           £125-£175 per day (depending upon experience) for 7 days

Sightsavers has an exciting short-term opportunity for a Training Manual Developer (Consultant) who will provide technical advice to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Onchocerciasis Elimination Mapping (OEM) Project in order to work towards the global elimination goal of onchocerciasis by 2025

The consultant will work with Sightsavers Directors and consultants in the successful delivery of a training package for OEM. The training package will be designed for one week’s field training for a project team who will use this in the piloting of this mapping project.

The Training Manual Developer will be responsible for consolidating existing training materials, providing additions as required, and producing a final training package product to be used at field level in the piloting of the OEM project. The manual will be modelled upon an existing piece of work but will require additional work as well as re-branding/ packaging. 

The ideal candidate will have experience in packaging training manuals. You will need to demonstrate the ability to

effectively prioritise work and work to tight deadlines, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, proven experience in delivering  projects to time, scope and budget and have an understanding of the international development/ not-for-profit sector.

It is essential that you hold a degree in a relevant field (Public Health, Medicine, eye health, Biology or Development-related studies). A master’s degree is also preferred.

You must have excellent IT, communication and writing skills as well as the ability to plan, organise, deliver and implement.  Two days of this seven day consultancy project will be spent reading and researching and five days will be spent assimilating the manual.
