Fundraising Manager (International Major Giving) 

In an age where the debate about food provenance, sustainability and safety has never been more urgent, the challenge for Compassion in World Farming is to combat the spread of factory farming and ensure that animal welfare becomes a fundamental consideration within the global food system. 

Compassion in World Farming is embarking on an ambitious global fundraising growth strategy that seeks to double its income worldwide within 5 years. Our fundraising vision is a Compassion in World Farming global network with diversified, sustainable and growing income from an increasing number of markets and audiences – which deliver income required to achieve our overarching strategic goals for the coming five years. 

Position: Senior Philanthropic Partnership Manager (Individuals) 
Location: Flexible / within 2-hour time zone of GMT, with regular travel to Godalming, UK 
Contract Type: Part-time, Permanent 
Hours: 3-4 days, it’s a big job but flexible working options considered. 
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 pro-rata (Depending on Experience)

About the role: 

Our International Major Giving team has been tremendously successful in securing income growth. And as the needs of our programmes grow internationally, we need to work with more people and institutions across the globe to enable the success of our programmes. And thus for our Major Gifts team we are looking for a Senior Philanthropic Partnerships Manager to play a vital role in in the future funding of Compassion in World Farming. We need someone who can find and build relationships with new partners globally, with a focus on but not solely restricted to Individuals and securing up from six- figure agreements. 

We are looking for an entrepreneur, someone with a ‘new business’ mind set and with the drive and ability to bring your vision to fruition. With the drive, experience, knowledge and gravitas to represent CIWF to potential partners and donors, you’ll spend most of your time not at your desk, but forging new and building upon current relationships with individuals internationally. 

You will be part of a small and very successful team, helping to continue their momentum of growth in the last few years. 

About you: 

A clear track record of successful partnership building, and resource mobilisation is very important. You will have successfully designed international fundraising and engagement workplans and demonstrated results within a clearly defined timeframe, aligned with organisational strategy. 

You will have experience in market analysis and stakeholder mapping and will help us to grow the number and diversity of our major philanthropic partners internationally. You will be responsible for a five-figure budget and proven project management and analytical skills in order to deliver challenging income and engagement results to an agreed return on investment. 

Finally, the successful applicant will be able to use their professional and creative skills to inspire our 21st century movement to help us end factory farming - the biggest cause of cruelty on the planet.
