Each year the Bank Workers Charity helps thousands of current and former bank employees and their families through the provision of information, advice and support services and, in some cases, financial assistance. Our broad range of support is designed to meet the needs of three very specific client groups – those who are current bank workers, former bank workers and our large community of pensioners. We recently completed a structure review to ensure we continue to grow as a provider of support and are building a new leadership team to help us make this happen. We have a skilled and successful management team and we are now seeking to expand our Executive team to ensure we meet our ambition through best in class support for our clients.

We are now looking for a Director of Finance and Support to join us at this exciting phase in our journey. You will be an experienced and fully qualified senior finance professional with strategic level expertise. As a collaborative leader you will work across multiple functions and beyond to leverage the overall performance of the organisation as well as oversee our investment portfolio performance and our social investment strategy. With high emotional intelligence and good interpersonal skills, you will not only be adept at leading and securely delivering a robust financial plan but also in supporting a wide range of functions within your team; we are seeking a leader who can drive all our support activities and you will bring significant HR experience, an ability to direct and inspire our people function and have been accountable for Technology.  To succeed in this role, you will also bring your proven experience of Charity Governance and of course, robust risk management.

Whether you come from within the charity sector directly or perhaps are now in the health and wellbeing sector, you will be committed to providing and delivering outcomes that make a tangible difference to the lives of our beneficiaries. This is a pivotal point in our organisation’s history. If you have the passion and skills to make a difference, then we would like to hear from you.

For an informal, confidential discussion about the role, please contact Juliet Taylor or Rebecca O’Connor at GatenbySanderson on 0207 426 3982.

Closing date for applications is Friday 22nd June 2018.
