37.5 hours per week, on a shift pattern

They are currently recruiting 3 Support Workers who will provide young people with a variety of medium to high support and engagement through early intervention, support planning and risk assessment according to their individual needs. 

Support Worker – Supported Housing – Ref SW/TH
You will support young people with a variety of needs ranging across claiming welfare benefits, paying rent, ensuring that benefit entitlements are maintained, monitoring mental health and safeguarding. You will also take the lead in specialist areas such as sexual health, domestic violence, health and wellbeing etc. and encourage young people to access training, education, employment and life skills coaching. 

Support Worker – Youth Offending – Ref SW/TO
You will specifically engage with young people with youth offending background or currently on YOS orders and find innovative and inspiring ways to engage young people with work, education and training opportunities. You will work in partnership with Social Services and Youth offenders Services and other organisations to provide a range of opportunities and support for young people to assist them to move from dependence to independence. It is essential that you have experience with challenging behaviours or transferable skills from other sectors for example police force, prison service, youth offending etc.

Support Worker – Education, Employment and Training – Ref SW/EET
Your focus will be to coach and enable young people into employment or training. This role will be driven by outcomes and the need for their residents to be actively and positively engaged with the aim of creating safe, healthy and contributing communities.  The role will be based in Ponders End, Enfield but will work with the Engagement team to support the wider service in Enfield and Haringey with EET and Resident Involvement

The successful candidates will have significant experience in a supported housing environment and a working knowledge of relevant legislation and working protocols of safeguarding young people. You will have demonstrable experience in undertaking service user assessments, support planning and key-working with a clear outcome focus.  You will be able to react to crisis situations in a calm and effective way and have excellent interpersonal skills in order to quickly build rapport.
