Location: Based in Surbiton 
Contract: Fixed Term - 1 Year 
Hours of Work: 40 hours Per week 
Salary: £35,000 per annum

Organisation Context 

Our client emerged from the coming together of four separate Associations. The group is largest in Europe and one of the largest providers of supported housing in London and beyond providing a safe place to stay for over 1,200 residents each night. As well as accommodation, education and training, the Association is focused on the transformation of communities through its Health and Wellbeing Centres, including an outdoor swimming pool and a wide range of Children, Youth and Family programmes including nurseries, after school clubs and soft play centres. As part of the wider Federation, their vision is of our client transforming communities so that all young people can belong, contribute and thrive 

The role: 

The Association is looking for an experienced Data Protection Officer to be the lead officer and expert on Data Protection matters. The post holder will be responsible for implementing an organisation wide action plan which will ensure that the Association meets its obligations under the EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). Key to this will be to ensure that sound policies, procedures and systems are in place and to monitor compliance and data practices internally so that our client is able to demonstrate its business and functions comply with the key requirements under the GDPR. 

The successful candidate will have a background in compliance, preferably hold a qualification in either data protection and/or privacy certification such as CIPP, CIPT, ISEB. They will also have extensive understanding of the UK Data Processing law and the employer’s responsibilities. 

Annual Leave 
Commencing at 25 days per annum plus public holidays
