Reporting to the Head of Income Generation, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that Gingerbread can sustain its mission to support single parent families through transitions, to flourish and be valued.

You will be joining Gingerbread at a crucial and exciting time: our 100th year, a new three-year strategy and a strong fundraising focus, supported by Gingerbread’s CEO and Board of Trustees.

We are looking for a self-motivated fundraiser with experience of raising funds from trusts and preferably also from Big Lottery and/or statutory sources, including contract income. You will have a talent for packaging up and matching a charity’s current and future work with funders’ requirements and priorities.

In addition to your excellent bid-writing and application skills, you’ll be adept at building relationships and working collaboratively on key proposals. Naturally, you’ll have the drive to seek out new funders and opportunities, and experience of successfully building and developing a pipeline of trusts.

Gingerbread provides expert advice, practical support and campaigns to improve the lives of single parent families. Single parents make up about a quarter of all families with children. Despite the positive changes achieved over the past 100 years, inequality and disadvantage still stand in the way of single parents providing their families with the security they deserve and the opportunities to flourish. Our mission is to champion and enable single parent families to live secure, fulfilling and happy lives.

We are an innovative charity with a highly committed and skilled team that works hard to improve the lives of single parent families.

In return, we support and develop staff, and offer the opportunity to develop your career and get involved in a variety of projects. We welcome applications from all sections of the community, including single parents and those with caring responsibilities. We offer excellent work-life balance policies for all staff.
