A medical membership organisation based in central London are looking to recruit a Senior Digital Content Manager. This is a new role aimed at developing a strong digital presence for the organisation's members, and to the wider community.

Working on a full-time, permanent basis you'll change the way digital content is produced and managed across the organisation.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and passionate content expert to make a real difference to the organisation's future digital communications, with the potential to expand the digital content team in the near future. You'll be the point of contact for all digital matters and responsible for mentoring and training members of the organisation in all aspects of content production and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all content is created to the highest quality, in line with content purpose and principles, brand and tone of voice, while adhering to SEO principles
  • Establishing and managing clear and efficient content production processes, including workflows through the DNN CMS
  • Managing and planning content resources, including direct and matrix management of content producers and editors
  • Evaluating content against agreed KPIs
  • Continually optimising content across all channels
  • Leading on CMS functionality developments with third party suppliers
  • Keeping abreast of content trends and industry standards
  • Leading and managing a team including potential direct line management and matrix management of content producers across the association

Person Specifications


  • At least five years experience in online content production and management, with proven experience of producing high quality, compelling digital content to tight timescales


  • A high-standard of editorial judgement, online copywriting and sub-editing
  • Excellent written communication skills and outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret and evolve in-house editorial style guides, tone of voice and brand guidelines
  • Extensive experience of working with content management systems (ideally DNN), standard web tools and software packages
  • Experience of leading and managing a content team
  • Experience of collaborating with and influencing stakeholders and building relationships with a wide range of people
  • Experience of managing third party suppliers
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practice
  • Ability to track analytics and report on KPIs
  • Strong understanding of the importance of content in user journeys
  • Self-motivated worker with excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to listen, influence and negotiate
  • A proactive can do attitude, with motivation to inspire digital change throughout the organisation
