Programme Officer (Sense International)
We are currently recruiting for a Programme Officer to join the East African Team based at our Head office in London. This role is a part time position 22.5 hours per week. You will work closely with the Senior Programme Manager for East Africa and the country teams in Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya.

Contract type: Permanent
Salary: £28,453 - £30,735 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Allowance)
Sense salary points: 31 – 34
About the role
Our programmes focus on early intervention, inclusive education, vocational training and livelihoods development, and advocacy. You will assist the country teams with monitoring, reporting and planning in conjunction with the development of new proposal’s.
One of our current programmes concentrates on the Screening and Early Intervention of children and babies with deafblindness to identify and provide therapy and medical interventions as early as possible. In addition, we work alongside parent support groups and Disabled People’s Organisations to build their capacity and enable them to advocate for the rights of people with deafblindness in their respective countries.
You will be highly organised individual with strong experience of programme and project management. You will have experience of working with international organisation and partners from a range of contexts. You will be self-motivated and prepared to work with team members from around the world.
