Supporter Care Coordinator
Supporter Care Coordinator. Circa £24,000. Full time, permanent. East London.
Our client are looking for a candidate who is real, personal, compassionate and courageous to join their well-known mental health charity. You’ll be playing a vital role in ensuring the delivery of outstanding customer service to supporters. The role is varied and fast paced, as you will be the first point of contact for supporters, you will need to have excellent experience in engagement and communications.
Your main job role will be to deliver excellent supporter experience, with great supporter satisfaction being your main aim. You’ll be responding to, and logging, all incoming enquires from supporters and prospective supporters by phone, mail and online, within agreed timescales. You will be skilled at ensuring all communication is effortless, consistent and engaging in order to recruit, support, steward, develop and retain supporters through great one-to-one supporter care. You will have the ability to deal professionally and empathetically with people who have been affected by mental health, providing them with the approved health information where possible.
You will also identify fundraising and supporter engagement opportunities and promote them as appropriate in order to deepen engagement of our existing supporters, optimize supporter retention and help deliver fundraising targets. Whilst keeping up to date with organizational activities for fundraising, campaigns and policy to actively promote a culture of learning and development.
The client requires previous experience of working in a customer or supporter care environment. You will have proven excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to adapt depending on the situation. And experience of dealing with difficult or sensitive interactions and maintaining confidence and empathy. You will need good knowledge of CRM databases and the importance of data adherence and knowledge of relevant charity legislation (Gift Aid and Data Protection for example).
