Are you passionate about empowering victims / survivors to recovery from the impact of child sexual abuse? Could you be the right person to join our client? They are a small, innovative charity working in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire to support children, teenagers and safe family members who have been affected by child sexual abuse and following successful bids for grant funding and tendering opportunities, they have vacancies for a full time creative arts therapist and a CHISVA (Child Independent Sexual Violence Adviser).

Position: CHISVA (Child Independent Sexual Violence Adviser)
Location: Nottingham
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £24,000 pro rata

About the role:

You will work with children and teenagers who have disclosed child sexual abuse. You will take referrals from the East Midlands Children and Young People Sexual Assault Service and will offer a non-therapeutic service to the child and their safe family members. You will make a risk and needs assessment, create an individualised action plan and provide guidance through the Criminal Justice Process, offering advocacy to ensure that their recovery is facilitated, and they are helped to engage with other organisations. You will support our client in the development and delivery of the early intervention service. You will be required to travel throughout Nottinghamshire to offer outreach work to children and teenagers and will be based in Nottingham City.

About you:

- Qualified to degree level or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited professional ISVA or experience working as a trainee ISVA
- Own transport and holds valid driving licence and business insurance
- Understanding and working knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures

You may have experience of the following: Case Management, Care Worker, Child Services, Child Support, Youth Services, Family Services, Support Work, Support Worker, Advocate, Charity, Charities, Third Sector, Not For Profit, Social Work, Advocacy, etc.
