Philanthropy Manager – The Role
We want you to help us meet funding goals through building long term and effective relationships with a range of philanthropic donors including trusts, foundations and high net worth individuals.
You will help manage the development of our Cases for Support, taking responsibility for enhancing proposals and ensuring contacts are managed to the highest standards.
You will lead on a portfolio of donors and prospects, developing motivational and meaningful communications to create informed and committed relationships. You will take ownership of reporting, compliance with donor requirements and the management of team projects and activities to deliver against targets.
You will support the team to spot and maximise opportunities as well as encourage existing supporters to increase their engagement through invitations to events and meetings, newsletters and personal contact.
Philanthropy Manager – Requirements
You will have extensive expertise in managing a portfolio of trusts, foundations and individuals. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to hit targets and increase support. You will be experienced at identifying and tracking funding opportunities.
You must have a strong understanding of the philanthropic sector and of the fundraising mechanisms available for the building of successful, long-term relationships. Highly organised, you will be good at balancing multiple requirements and delivering under pressure. You will also have an eye for detail and exacting delivery standards coupled with excellent writing and project management skills.
A team player you are adept at overcoming obstacles and can demonstrate an interest in the natural world and WWF’s core mission.
