Learning Officer (Maternity Contract)
Esmée Fairbairn Foundation is a leading independent funder. We support exceptional organisations that are building a more inclusive, creative and sustainable society in the UK. In 2017 we gave over £40m in grants to charities and social enterprises working in the arts, children and young people, sustainable food and environment, and social change. We also operate a social investment fund for organisations that can deliver a social benefit along with a financial return.
This is an important role for Esmée Fairbairn, taking their approach to impact and learning to the next level.
The Learning Officer will lead on reviewing and analysing our funding data in order to share insights with staff and Trustees, and implement improvements based on what we learn. The post holder will also be responsible for sharing our learning externally through Insights Reports, web and social media posts. They will be able to use their analytical and research experience in creating practical, useful, advice and recommendations for organisations funded by Esmee Fairbairn working across the social sector.
The ideal candidate will be analytical, meticulous and self-motivated, with a solid understanding of qualitative and quantitative data and a creative approach to research. Excellent communication skills will be essential, as well as the ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders. The Learning Officer will have a passion for the voluntary sector, and for helping organisations to better understand their impact.
