Be the public face of a charity that’s putting smiles on faces across London.
St Michael’s Fellowship is a registered charity that engages families to achieve the best possible outcomes for disadvantaged children.
Our facilities include four residential assessment centres focusing on complex needs and child protection issues, a supported housing scheme for vulnerable families, a community outreach service for pregnant teenagers, a young fathers’ service and facilities for supervised contact with children.
In short, we do whatever it takes to improve children’s lives and build stronger, more cohesive communities.
You will be the public face of our organisation: meeting and greeting visitors and introducing them to the support we can offer. You could find yourself explaining our services to parents, receiving colleagues attending training sessions or briefing potential team members, so every day will be different.
Equally importantly, you will manage all inbound calls and organise and minute trustees’ meetings whilst administering recruitment, ordering equipment and consumables, and providing comprehensive support to our Director and Deputy Director.
Alongside fast and accurate typing and highly developed IT skills (including Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative), you should bring proven ability to multitask, a warm and engaging manner and meticulous attention to detail.
If you’ve worked in a charity setting before, so much the better, but we’ll value your enthusiasm, flexibility and willingness to take on new challenges above all.
In return, you can expect excellent conditions of employment, including five weeks’ holiday (rising to six weeks after five years’ service) and a pension scheme with 2% employer contribution (potentially rising to 8% or more after three years).
