Senior Relationships Manager
We’re Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s largest breast cancer charity – and we’re dedicated to funding research into this devastating disease. We believe that if we all act now, by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live and live well.
This newly established role is key to the delivery and growth of philanthropy within Breast Cancer Now. You will be responsible for relationship management of one of our most longstanding and valued partners, Walk the Walk, with significant seven figure income targets. This relationship represents 50% of the Philanthropy Fundraising Team’s total income target and over 10% of Breast Cancer Now’s total net income.
Our partnership involves engagement at multiple levels within Walk the Walk and Breast Cancer Now including the Executive Leadership Teams, communications, digital media and volunteers. You will also lead on the submission of proposals, reports and stewardship activities. As one of our organisation’s most important principal gift relationships, you will need to demonstrate a significant level of expertise to manage it effectively.
In addition to the management of Walk the Walk, you will be a part of leading a team focused on high value relationships and results, and will personally manage a portfolio of 20 – 30 major gift prospects (high net worth individuals, trusts and foundations).
You will have a demonstrated strategic approach to donor relationship development and experience of successfully managing and growing high value relationships. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills are a must, enabling you to engage with senior volunteers, staff leadership as well as many internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you will have outstanding written communication skills with experience of producing clear and compelling funding proposals.
