The Orchard Project is the only organisation solely dedicated to the creation, rejuvenation and celebration of community orchards in the UK.
We are looking for a new Communications Manager to champion our message and tell our stories.
Our vision is that in every city, town and village across the country, every home is within easy-reach of productive, well-cared-for, community-run orchards. These orchards are making a significant contribution to the country’s fruit and nut provision, improving health and wellbeing, building community resilience, nurturing skills and providing cherished, nature-rich, community spaces used by a wide range of people.
We have a unique story to tell and you will be the person that helps us do it well. Our Communications Manager will play a central role in shaping and coordinating the stories we tell, how we tell them, and who we tell them to, across our charity.
This role will be our one primarily focused on communications so you will work alongside a team of fifteen staff across England and Scotland as our communications specialist. You will oversee and develop high-quality content to engage our supporters and communicate the power and impacts of our work. You will shape our voice, promote our brand and more importantly than anything, get our stories across.
